The End of October

Getting the backyard raked up for the annual Halloween party. Would like to have a full pumpkin patch for it next year in the back field.

Before the drought and animals get to them...

First Plate!

First yield is harvested, time for the grill.

PASTA!

Made a little pasta dish with my tomatoes. It tasted a lot better than the cell phone pic portrays.

Corn, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Beans...

The middle of June and things are on their way.

Seeds and Supplies

Drove to Burger Farms in Newtown to pick up some seeds and supplies for the season.

Tomatoes, green beans corn, carrots, straw, peat moss, twisty ties, support rods, mulch, marigolds (keeps insects away), cucumbers, vegetable feed.

The Tiller!

The tiller made things a helluva lot easier this year, considering I did all the uprooting and tilling by hand last year.

Also, instead of four quadrants I went with two big halves. Corn and cucumber locations were rotated.

Garden 08, June prepping

The garden is overrun with weeds from this Spring. Time to dig in and get things ready. Made a trip up to Burger Farm & Garden Center in Newtown for seeds and supplies.

Wintery Weeds...

Weeds and overgrowth have overtaken last year's garden. It's going to be fun clearing this out.

Izzy and the Bonfire

Izzy watches on as I get rid of some sticks and debris from the winter. It's about that time to get the soil ready and start planting seeds.
